Why it reads as depth, not pattern
Each ginkgo leaf is cut and shaped individually, then set at its own angle to the wall. That is the whole trick: because the leaves sit at different depths, they catch light at different moments through the day. Morning sun picks out one cluster, a lamp in the evening picks out another. A flat print cannot do that.
It is the reason the piece looks different from the doorway than it does from the sofa, and the reason photographs of it never quite do it justice.
Iron, hand-finished
Cut from iron rather than moulded from resin or printed onto board, so the edges are crisp and the piece has genuine weight to it. The finish is applied by hand, which is what gives the leaves their variation in tone instead of a uniform factory colour.
Hangs in minutes
The mounting hooks are already fitted to the back. You are putting fixings into the wall and lifting it on — there is no assembly, no spacing to measure out, no arranging of separate pieces.
It can also be hung either orientation. Turn it and the composition reads differently, so it suits a wide lounge wall or a tall stairwell equally.
Where it works
Above a sofa or a sideboard, along a hallway that needs something at eye level, or in a stairwell where you see it from several heights. It is scaled for a feature wall — in a small room it will dominate, which may be exactly what you want.

How big is it really?
143 cm wide by 83 cm high. Mark that out on your wall with masking tape before ordering — most people underestimate it.
Is it heavy to hang?
It is iron, so it has real weight. Fix into studs or use appropriate wall anchors for your wall type rather than a picture hook.
Can it go outside?
Covered outdoor areas only, out of direct weather. It is iron with a decorative finish, not a marine-grade coating, so sustained rain and salt air will mark it.
