The Jacaru picnic blanket is built the way an outback coat is: a 100% cotton oilskin outer that keeps damp grass and bindis out, and a soft red tartan cotton flannelette side to sit on. It rolls up and buckles closed with a leather strap, and it is made in Australia. Choose the standard 125 x 145cm for two, or the giant 195 x 145cm for a family or a spot at a festival.
Oilskin underneath
The outer is 100% cotton treated with oil and pigment to make it water resistant. It still breathes like cotton, so it does not sweat the way a plastic-backed rug can. Bindis and prickles stay on the ground side.
Flannelette on top
The side you sit on is a soft red tartan cotton flannelette. It is warm on a cool evening and comfortable enough for an afternoon nap after lunch.
Two sizes
The standard blanket is about 125 x 145cm and weighs around 1kg, right for two people and a picnic. The giant is about 195 x 145cm, for families, groups and reserving a patch of grass at an outdoor concert.
Rolls and buckles
