Nourished Bodynskin NBS-4 LED Face Mask — 7 Colours + Near-Infrared, 456 LEDs, Medical-Grade Silicone
Delivery & Returns
Nourished Bodynskin NBS-4
Twenty minutes, hands free, on the couch.
A flexible silicone LED mask with seven light colours, each one paired with 850 nm near-infrared. You strap it on, pick a colour and a time on the remote, and get on with your evening.

Everything arrives in one box — mask, remote, cable and a pair of silicone eye shields.
What it is, plainly
This is a cosmetic light device for at-home use. It shines coloured LED light, and near-infrared, onto the skin for a set number of minutes. It is not a medical device, it is not a treatment, and we are not going to tell you what it will do to your face — that is between you, your skin and your own judgement.
What we can tell you precisely is what the hardware is, because that is where these devices actually differ from one another.
The Light
Seven colours, and near-infrared on every one.

Every colour runs alongside 850 nm near-infrared, which is the distinguishing feature of this model.
Why the near-infrared matters here
Most seven-colour masks at this price give you the visible colours and nothing else. On the NBS-4, 850 nm near-infrared runs alongside every one of the seven. Near-infrared sits past the visible range, so you will not see it working — the only way to know it is there is the specification.
456 LEDs across 114 bulbs
Four LEDs are packed into each bulb rather than one, which is how the count gets to 456 in a mask this size. More emitters spread across the same area means a more even spread of light rather than hot spots and gaps.
Irradiance of about 35 mW/cm²
This is the number most listings leave out, and the one worth comparing. Irradiance is how much light actually lands on the skin. A mask with an impressive LED count and no published irradiance figure is telling you something by its silence.
It covers the upper lip
The silicone is moulded so the panel continues down over the area between the nose and the top lip — a spot most rigid masks simply leave uncovered because it is awkward to shape around.
Wearing It
Silicone, not a hard plastic shell.

Two straps — one over the crown, one around the back of the head.
It bends to your face
The body is flexible medical-grade silicone, so it sits against the contours of a face rather than bridging across them the way a moulded plastic shell does. It also means you can lie back on a couch or a pillow while wearing it, which a rigid mask does not allow.
Two straps, and a trick worth knowing
If it slides down your face during a session, move the top strap higher onto the crown of your head rather than tightening everything. Over-tightening is the usual instinct and the usual mistake — it makes the session uncomfortable without fixing the slipping.
Hands free, so you can do something else
Once it is on and the timer is set, your hands are free. Most people read, watch something or simply lie down. It is twenty minutes you were going to spend on the couch anyway.
Your Eyes
Use the eye shields. Every time.
This is the part of the page we would rather you read than skip, so it has a section to itself instead of a line in the specifications.
Two silicone shields are included
They sit over closed eyes under the mask. Bright LED light at close range is uncomfortable to look into and there is no reason to find out how uncomfortable. Keep your eyes closed behind them for the whole session.
If light sensitivity is a thing for you, ask first
Some medications and some conditions cause photosensitivity — an unusual reaction to light. Certain acne medications are a well-known example. If that applies to you, or if you are pregnant, have a skin condition under treatment, or are simply unsure, speak to your doctor or dermatologist before using it. We are a retailer and cannot advise on that.
Using It
Four steps, and the order matters.

Clean skin, mask on, choose colour and time, serum afterwards.
Fifteen to twenty minutes
That is the session length the manufacturer sets, and the remote counts it down for you. Longer is not better — the timer exists for a reason and there is nothing to gain from overriding it.
In The Box
What actually turns up.

Six items: mask, two straps, remote, cable, eye shields and the manual.
- LED face mask, medical-grade silicone
- 2 × adjustable face mask straps
- Rechargeable remote control with display
- USB-C to USB-A charging cable
- 2 × silicone eye shields (one pair)
- User manual
The remote is rechargeable, the mask is not
Power and control both come through the handheld remote, which charges over the supplied USB-C cable. There is no separate wall plug in the box, so you will use a phone charger or a USB port you already own.
Straight Talk
Who this suits — and who should skip it.
Why there are no results claims on this page
You will find other sellers making confident statements about what LED light will do to your skin. We have deliberately not repeated any of them, because we cannot substantiate them and because a cosmetic device advertised with health claims is a different legal animal in Australia. You get the specification, the practical detail and nothing we cannot stand behind.

Questions
What parents ask before buying.
Is this a medical device?
No. It is a cosmetic appliance for home use. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or manage any condition, and nothing on this page should be read as a health claim. If you want light therapy for a diagnosed skin condition, speak to a dermatologist.
What is the difference between this and the face-and-neck model?
Two things. This one, the NBS-4, has 456 LEDs across 114 bulbs and pairs 850 nm near-infrared with every colour, but covers the face only. The NBS-1 has 684 LEDs across 228 bulbs and adds a separate neck panel, but does not include near-infrared. More light coverage on one, near-infrared on the other — your call which matters more.
Do I have to use the eye shields?
Yes, and keep your eyes closed as well. Two silicone shields are supplied. Looking directly into bright LEDs at close range is uncomfortable and there is no benefit to doing it.
How long is a session and how often?
The manufacturer sets 15 to 20 minutes per session, timed on the remote. Frequency is a personal decision — the manual covers the manufacturer's guidance. Running it longer than the timer allows achieves nothing.
Does it need to be plugged into the wall?
No. The handheld remote powers the mask and recharges over the supplied USB-C cable. There is no wall plug in the box, so you will use a USB charger you already have.
Can I use it with a serum or moisturiser on?
Start with clean, dry skin. A light hydrating serum underneath is fine, but makeup, sunscreen and heavy creams sit between the light and your skin. Most people apply their usual products after the session instead.
Is there any reason I should not use it?
Talk to your doctor first if you are photosensitive, taking medication that causes photosensitivity (some acne medications do), pregnant, or have a skin condition currently under treatment. We are a retailer and genuinely cannot give you advice on that.
What is delivery, and what if it arrives faulty?
Delivery is free and tracked anywhere in Australia. You have 30 days to return it. If it turns up faulty we cover the return freight and sort it out — send us a photo and we will take it from there.
