Rohent R8 Wireless RV Reversing Camera Kit, Two 1080P Cameras and 7-Inch Monitor
Delivery & Returns
See the back of the van without running a cable down it
The Rohent R8 sends a 1080P picture from the back of your caravan, motorhome or trailer to a 7-inch monitor on the dash, with no video cable down the length of the rig. You get two cameras in the kit, so one can watch the rear of the van and the other the tow vehicle or the side.

One for the van, one for the car
Mount one camera on the back of the caravan, RV or trailer and use the second on the tow vehicle, or as a side view when you're changing lanes. Both show up on the same 7-inch monitor. It suits long rigs: motorhomes, campers, buses, cargo vans, box trucks, flatbeds and tractors.

Wireless picture, wired power
The video travels over a digital wireless signal, so there's no cable to snake from the back bumper to the cab. The maker quotes up to 300 metres in open space and about 97 metres on a vehicle. Each camera still needs power, and the install guide wires it to the reverse, running or tail light.
Single, split or quad
The monitor has four channels, CAM1 to CAM4. Watch one camera full screen, two side by side, a horizontal split or a quad layout. With the two cameras in the kit, a handy set-up is the van camera full screen when you're reversing and a split view on the highway.

Reversing into a powered site at dusk
The light's going, the site's tight and there's a tree on one side. Pop the van camera full screen, turn the guide lines on and set their width to suit your rig. The maker shows a clear night picture, and the monitor's brightness, contrast and hue settings let you tune it for low light. Keep using your mirrors, and a spotter if you've got one.
Guide lines on or off
Reversing lines are optional. Switch them on or off and adjust their width and height. You can also flip the picture between mirror and normal view, depending on whether a camera faces backwards or forwards.

Records to a microSD card
The monitor records to a microSD card from 8GB to 128GB, according to the maker. A card isn't listed as included, so add your own. It's handy for keeping a clip of what happened behind the van.
Touch keys along the screen
The controls are capacitive touch keys in a row along the bottom of the monitor: menu, channel and picture settings, all within reach of the driver's hand. No mechanical buttons to wear out or stick.

Rated from -30 to 80°C
The cameras are waterproof and rated for about -30°C to 80°C, so a frosty morning in the high country and a 40-degree afternoon on the Stuart Highway are both within spec.
