Three interlocking rings of soft LED light, and three perforated spheres that throw stars and moons across your ceiling. Switch the projection off and it is a clean modern chandelier. Switch it on and the whole room changes.

How the starry sky works

The three spheres beneath the rings are pierced with hundreds of tiny star and crescent cut-outs. The LED inside each one casts that pattern outward, so the light lands on your ceiling and upper walls as a field of stars rather than a flat glow.

It is a real projection, not a printed shade, which is why it reaches right across a room and stays sharp. The effect is strongest on a plain, light-coloured ceiling and in a dimly lit room.

Two layers of light, independently controlled

The rings

Three continuous LED rings give the room its usable light — warm, even, and bright enough to be the main fitting in a living or dining space. Fully dimmable from the remote.

The star projection

The three spheres run separately, so you can have the rings alone for everyday light, the stars alone for a night-time glow, or both together.

Where to put it

  • Over a dining table — hang the lowest ring roughly 75–90cm above the tabletop, centred on the table rather than the room.
  • Living room — centre it on the seating area. Leave at least 2.1m of clear head height underneath.
  • Bedroom — the star projection is the reason most people buy it for a bedroom. Works best over the foot of the bed, not directly above your head.
  • Entry or stairwell — a double-height void suits it well, with the drop set so the fitting sits in the upper third of the space.

At 50cm across it is a feature light for a normal-sized room, not a statement piece for a large open-plan void. If your dining table is longer than about 1.8m, a linear fitting will suit it better.

The remote

Everything is controlled from the handset — brightness, and which of the two light layers are on. Because the dimming is handled inside the fixture, it works on a plain on/off wall switch. You do not need a dimmer switch installed, and you should not wire it to one.

Installation — please read before you buy

This is a hardwired ceiling fixture. Under Australian law it must be installed by a licensed electrician, wired to AS/NZS 3000. It is not a plug-in fitting and there is no plug or cord supplied.

Do not connect it to an existing wall dimmer. The LED driver does its own dimming and a conventional wall dimmer can damage it. A standard on/off switch is all it needs.

Allow for an electrician's call-out when you budget for it. Most installations are a straightforward swap for an existing ceiling fitting.

Fitting it

  1. Check your drop. Measure from your ceiling to where you want the lowest ring to sit. The cables shorten on site, so your electrician sets the final height.
  2. Check the space. You need 50cm of clear width and a ceiling that can take the fixture's weight through a standard mounting bracket.
  3. Book the electrician. Have the fitting on site before they arrive — most swaps take under an hour.

Common questions

Do I need a dimmer switch on the wall?
No, and you should not use one. The remote handles all the dimming inside the fixture. A normal on/off wall switch is correct. Wiring an integrated LED fitting to a wall dimmer can damage the driver.
Can I install it myself?
No. It is hardwired, and in Australia hardwired light fittings must be installed by a licensed electrician under AS/NZS 3000. Doing it yourself can void your home insurance as well as the warranty.
Can the star projection be turned off?
Yes. The spheres and the rings are controlled separately from the remote, so you can run the rings on their own as a normal chandelier.
How high should I hang it over a dining table?
About 75–90cm from the tabletop to the bottom of the fixture. Centre it on the table, not on the room. The cables are freely adjustable so your electrician can set it exactly.
Will the stars show on a dark or textured ceiling?
The effect is strongest on a plain, pale, matte ceiling. A dark or heavily textured ceiling will soften it noticeably, and a bright room will wash it out.
What size room does it suit?
Around 10–20m². At 50cm across it reads as a feature light in a normal lounge, dining or bedroom rather than a large open-plan space.
Do the LEDs get replaced?
The LEDs are integrated rather than replaceable globes, which is standard for this style of fitting.
Delivery and returns?
Free delivery Australia-wide, tracked. Returns within 30 days, and free on faulty items. Because it is installed by an electrician, please check the fitting over before installation begins.
