Twelve lights · Two tiers · 80 cm

A true two-tier chandelier, not a wide single ring.

Six candle arms on the upper tier, six on the lower, stacked around a turned black column with cast leaf detailing. This is the shape people picture when they say “chandelier” — height and layers rather than width.

Six arms above, six below. The upper tier sits inside the lower, so it reads as one piece rather than two rings.

Presence

58 cm tall. That is where the drama comes from.

At 80 cm across and 58 cm tall, this fitting earns its presence vertically. In a room with height — a stairwell, a raked or beamed ceiling, a double-height entry — a tall layered fitting fills the volume in a way a flat ring never does.

Under a raked ceiling the two tiers read properly from below and from the side.

Over a long table

The twelve arms put out up to 5,400 lumens between them, so it lights a full dining table rather than just the centre of it.

Twelve candle flames at two heights, which is what gives the light its depth.

Two tiers or one

How this compares to our 8-light.

These are two different shapes, and the honest headline is this: the 12-light is not the bigger fitting. It carries more lamps and more height, but it is actually 15 cm narrower across. Choose on the shape you want, not the lamp count.

Two-year warranty.

Short version: want to span a wide table under a normal ceiling? Take the 8-light. Want layers and height in a room that has the volume for it? This is the one.

Hanging height

The chain adjusts, and it suits sloped ceilings.

It hangs on a 90 cm chain with a screw-cap end link, so the drop is set by re-hooking the chain at any link rather than cutting anything. Flat, sloped and vaulted ceilings all work.

Bulbs

Twelve E14 candles — your choice of warmth.

It takes 12 x E14 candle bulbs, 40 W maximum each, and they are not included. That is deliberate: with twelve lamps, the colour temperature you pick changes the whole character of the room.

The same chandelier shown at 3000K, 4000K and 6000K colour temperatures

The same fitting at 3000K, 4000K and 6000K. Most people want 3000K here.

It supports dimmable bulbs and colour-temperature adjustable bulbs, so you can set it warm for dinner and brighter for working.

The details

What you are actually getting.

1Two genuine tiersSix arms above and six below on one column — layered, not a double ring bolted together.
2Turned centre columnA shaped spindle with stacked spheres, the detail that separates this from a plain frame.
3Cast leaf detailingSmall leaf forms where the arms meet the column, picked out in the same matte black.
4Textured candle sleevesThe sleeves carry a moulded wax-drip texture rather than being plain tubes.
5Light for its size3.7 kg all up, so it mounts to a standard ceiling point without special bracing.
6Two-year warrantyTwice the cover of most fittings at this price.

Installation

It is hard-wired — get an electrician.

There is no plug and no cord. The arms assemble to the column, the centre column screws together, the height is set and then it is wired in. All the mounting hardware and instructions are supplied.

We recommend installation by a licensed electrician. That is the correct way to install a hard-wired ceiling fitting in Australia, and with twelve lamps it is worth having the circuit checked at the same time.

Questions

What people ask before buying.

Is this really two tiers?

Yes. Six arms sit on an upper level and six on a lower level, around one turned column. You can see both clearly in the photographs.

Is it bigger than the 8-light?

Taller, but narrower. This is 80 cm across and 58 cm tall; the 8-light is 95 cm across and 47 cm tall. More lamps does not mean a wider fitting.

Are bulbs included?

No. It needs 12 x E14 candle bulbs, 40 W maximum each, so you choose the warmth. For a warm traditional look, 3000K is the usual pick.

What ceiling height do I need?

The fitting is 58 cm tall before you add any chain, so it suits rooms with some height. Over a dining table on a standard ceiling it works well; in a low-ceilinged room the 8-light is the better shape.

Can I shorten the chain?

Yes. The end link has a screw cap that opens, so the chain can be re-hooked at any point for the drop you want. Nothing needs cutting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with dimmable bulbs and a dimmer rated for them. It also takes colour-temperature adjustable bulbs.

How heavy is it?

3.7 kg, which mounts to a standard ceiling point. Your electrician will confirm the fixing on the day.

What if it arrives damaged?

Tell us and we will replace it. Returns are 30-day, and we cover the return cost when something arrives faulty.
